About Me

Caroline Harding is a mixed-media painter living in Northern Virginia. In 2023, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting degree from George Mason University (GMU) and is currently working on obtaining her Masters of Art Teaching degree through Mason’s graduate program. She plans to pursue a career as an art teacher at a public secondary school to help students find their voice through art. While Harding specializes in painting, drawing, and mixed media, she has foundational skills in various mediums ranging from ceramics to animation.

Harding has served as outreach coordinator and is currently the President of GMU’s National Art Education Association (NAEA) student chapter and volunteers to help supervise the local National Junior Art Honor Society at Robinson middle school. Through her leadership roles, she has helped curate and exhibit artwork in GMU’s NAEA Student Chapter Exhibition in 2023 - Celebrating the Identity of Art Educators Beyond the Classroom. She has also exhibited work at two GMU/NOVA’s juried exhibitions, Resilience and Rewired in 2021, and GMU’s spring 2023 Art and Design Senior Show.

In 2021, Harding was hired as a professional mural artist in Hvelplund, Denmark. She currently works as a short and long-term substitute art teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools and is the co-lead instructor for Art Explorations at Mason Community Arts Academy. In Harding’s creative practice, she creates mixed media artworks that serve as an extension of her consciousness as she strives to make sense of the world’s various perspectives.
